Friendship is one of the most important values for young people. During adolescence, teenagers search for identity and support, and close friends often become a source of encouragement. Psychologists explain that peer relationships help to develop empathy, cooperation, and self-confidence. However, not all friendships are beneficial. Negative peer pressure may lead to risky behavior such as smoking or skipping classes. That is why parents and teachers play a vital role in guiding teenagers. According to surveys conducted in 2020, most adolescents value honesty, loyalty, and trust in their friendships above all. Modern technologies have changed the way young people communicate. Throughout the world, true friendship is considered unique and irreplaceable. Although online networks are popular, face-to-face communication remains the most reliable way to maintain close relationships.
